Eligibility for migration to Australia on a State/Territory Senior Executive visa is judged on the business skills of the applicant
Duration
The applicant is first given a period of five years permit to stay in Australia. The applicant must stay for a consecutive period of five years after which the applicant can apply for an Australian citizenship. If the applicant wants an extension then the applicant must stay in the country for a consecutive period of two years.
Eligibility Criteria
The basic criteria to qualify are the applicant’s age and his/her business experience.
Age
The applicant must be under the age of 55 to apply for a business visa.
Business Experience
There are several criteria that the applicant needs to fulfil in order to qualify for the State /Territory Sponsored Executive visas. The applicant must have had a thriving career in the concerned business and a certain amount of business net asset as per mentioned by the sponsoring state/territory government and within 2 years, they must be able to transfer this amount to Australia. The candidate must have occupied one of the three topmost management levels for about 2 to 4 years, be responsible for the strategic policy development in a business that generates equal to or more than a specified amount of annual turnover as per mentioned by the respective sponsoring state/territory government. The applicant must have adequate funds to settle in Australia on their own, be sponsored by any of the Australian state or territory governments, be willing to live in Australia in order to establish their business and actively participate in or establish effective management of a qualifying business and possess a considerable ownership.
Health and Character
The applicant must satisfy the below mentioned conditions before being granted any permanent visa of more than 12 months: the candidate must undergo a detailed medical examination and chest x-ray by a panel of doctors approved by the Australian authorities and submit police certificate from all the countries where the applicant has exceeded 12 moths of his stay in the last 10 months prior to applying for the Australian business visa.
Processing Times
The total time required to process the visa is around nine to twelve months from the date of application was submitted.
