A business owner visa is granted to an individual willing to establish a business in Australia.
Duration
The Australian government allows such an individual a four years stay after which they can apply for citizenship.
Eligibility Criteria
There are certain eligibility criteria, which every applicant should successfully meet and qualify for such a visa.
A) Age - The applicant must be below the age of 45 years.
B) Business Experience - The applicant must have been the owner of a certain business unit, which has made a turnover of at least AUD $ 300.000 in the last two fiscal years. The applicant should have a combined business and personal net asset of at least AUD $ 250.000, which must be transferred to Australia in two years time. The applicant must have funds to live properly in Australia. The applicant should not be involved in such business activities, which is not accepted in Australia. The applicant also must make his intentions clear and specific to the state or government authorities in Australia.
Health and Character
The applicant has to go through a medical check-up. The test would be conducted under the jurisdiction of authorized doctors and the applicant must show no signs of medical complications. The applicant also must be certified clean by the local police authority as a subject of character check.
Processing Time
The applicant would have to wait for a period of nine to twelve months for the visa application to be processed successfully.
