State Territory Visa
The state territory visa is a type of visa that requires state nomination and sponsorship and offers applicants the opportunity to migrate to Australia based on their skills and educational background. The different types of visa under this category are: 
 
Skilled Sponsored Visa
The applicant must meet the qualifications and work experience requirements of the appropriate skills assessing body for their profession and must have been assessed as suitable by the relevant body for the nominated occupation. The candidate must nominate a skilled occupation that appears on the Skilled Occupations List for the State they intend on gaining sponsorship through.
 
State Territory Sponsored Business
The State Territory Sponsored Business visa is for applicants who have had a successful history of business or investment activity and wish to emigrate to Australia to use these skills.
 
State Territory Sponsored Executive
Eligibility for migration to Australia on a State Territory Sponsored Executive visa is judged on the business skills of the applicant. To qualify for the State Territory sponsored senior executive visa the applicant must have spent at least two of the four years prior to application occupying a position in the top three levels of management, and was responsible for strategic policy development in a business with an annual turnover of at least AUS $10 million.
 
State Territory Sponsored Investor
Migration to Australia under the Australian State Territory investor visa category is open to applicants who have had a history of successful business or investment activity and wish to emigrate to Australia to use these skills. To qualify for the visa the applicant must have had a successful business career or history of eligible investment activity and must have made, prior to residence, a designated investment of AUS $750.000.
 
Employment Visa

Working Holiday Visa
The Working Holiday Visa encourages cultural exchange and closer ties between arrangement countries by allowing young people to have an extended holiday supplemented by short-term employment for up to two years provided they meet all the requirements.
 
Skilled Independent Visa
Migration to Australia under the Skilled Independent visa is operated on a point based system (PBS). It targets people who are highly skilled and who will quickly contribute to the economy. The majority of points are awarded on criteria including age, occupation, experience and English language ability.
 
Skilled Regional Sponsored
Skilled Regional Sponsored visa requires successful applicants to live in designated regional areas as a condition of their visa. To be eligible, the applicant must be sponsored by an Australian state territory or by an eligible family member living in a designated regional area. The applicant must also meet the points test minimum pass mark to qualify.
 
Employer Nomination Scheme
The Employer Nomination Scheme has been developed for Australian employers to recruit permanent and highly skilled staff from overseas provided they have been unable to fill a vacancy from within the Australian labour market or through their own training programs.
 
Investor Visa
This visa is intended for those who have had a successful career in business or investment activity and have directly managed a business with an ownership interest of at least 10% of the total value of the business. The applicant must have made a designated investment of AUS $1.500.000 before the grant of the visa.
 
Business Owner
The business Owner visa is intended for those who in two of the last four years have had ownership in a qualifying successful business and have sufficient assets for settlement and use in Australia.
 
Business Talent Visa
This type of visa is intended for those applicants who have sponsorship by a state or territory government member at a senior level and own businesses outside Australia which had an annual turnover of at least AUS $3.000.000. The applicant must establish or participate in the active management of the qualifying business in Australia, and maintain a substantial ownership interest.
 
Senior Executive Visa
The Australian senior executive visa is an option for those who have been employed at a senior level in a business and who intend to participate in the management and ownership of a business in Australia.
 
Distinguished Talent visa
Immigrating to Australia under the distinguished talent visa category is based on an exceptional ability of the applicant whether it is in the arts, sport, or research and academia.
 
Australia Investor Retirement
The investor retirement visa category is designed for retired people who have significant assets and want to spend their retirement years in Australia. Migrating to Australia via the investor retirement visa provides the successful applicant with a temporary visa, valid for four years. This visa does not lead to permanent residency in Australia.
 
Critical Skills List
As the name suggests, this type of visa is for highly skilled workers from overseas and highly skilled temporary residents already working in Australia.
  • A) ENS List
The Employers Nomination Skill List allows Australian employers to sponsor employees for a permanent visa to work in Australia.
  • B) Skilled Occupation List
The occupations listed on the Skilled Occupation List are for permanent and temporary   immigration to Australia under the General Skilled Migration category.
 
Family Visa
The family Visa entitles people immigrating to Australia to gain permanent residency status. After a two-year period, providing relevant criteria have been met, the visa holder may apply for Australian citizenship.
 
Family Sponsorship
The Australian Sponsored visa operates on a points-based system that focuses predominantly on the skills, qualifications and work experience of the Australian skilled migration applicant. To migrate to Australia under this category, the applicant must have an assurer. The assurer must also meet several requirements, including having a certain income level.
 
Contributory Parent Visa
The Contributory Parent Visa is designed for applicants who (or whose spouse or partner) meet the balance of family test, i.e. have an equal or greater number of children living in Australia than in their home country and can meet the relationship and sponsorship requirements.
 
Last Remaining Relative
The Last Remaining Relative visa category is for people who are considering immigrating to Australia and who have no close family ties in their home country or other country outside Australia.
 
Prospective Marriage
Migration to Australia under the Australian fiancé visa category is for applicants who are engaged to be married to an Australian citizen or permanent resident. The prospective marriage visa leads to the spouse temporary visa and subsequently to Australian permanent residence.
 
Australia De Facto
Migration to Australia under the Australia de facto visa category is for potential applicants who are in a de facto relationship with an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
 
Spouse Visa
The Spouse Visa is intended for those who applicants who are married to an Australian citizen or permanent resident. The initial Australian spouse visa is granted for two years, after which time the applicant is required to show the relationship is still a genuine one.
 
Child Visa
Migration to Australia under the child visa category is for applicants who are the natural child, adopted or stepchild of their sponsor.
 
Study Visa
An Australian Student Visa allows people who are not Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents, to study in Australia and undertake a registered course.
