This visa allows a foreign national to attend business related conference and meetings held in India. With this visa, a business person is allowed to meet and negotiate deals with clients.
Eligibility Criteria for Indian Business Visas
A business visa in India can be used as a single entry or multiple-entry to this country. It remains valid for a period of 5 years. In order to secure an Indian business visa, the application applications must include a current passport with a minimum of six months validity. The passport must also contain at least two blank pages.
A fully completed and signed application form must be submitted, accompanied by the appropriate fee and two passport sized photos. Where applications are being made by Pakistani nationals’ five photographs will be required and it may be necessary to undergo an interview.
Applications must include a letter from a sponsoring Indian company as well as an introductory letter from the employer in the applicant's country of residence. This letter must give details of the purpose, location and projected duration of the visit. The company in question must take responsibility for expenses incurred by the applicant.
Dependant Members and Spouse Immigration
Indian business visa is issued for a foreign national who will stay in the country for a short period to undergo certain business related activities. This type of visa is not meant for permanent immigration to India and thus has a specified validity. Business visa in India does not allow a business person to bring his/her spouse and dependant family members to India. Individual applications are required to be submitted if any of the dependant family members or spouse wishes to accompany an Indian business visa holder.
