The UK Right of Abode service entitles a person to live and work in the UK without any limitations.

As of 21 December 2006, people who already held a British passport, or an identity card will not qualify for certificates of entitlement.

Holders of this type of UK visas  may enter and leave the country without Immigration control. They can use British passport holder gates at UK ports and airports. If an applicant has Dual Citizenship they are entitled to a stamp in their foreign passports, this allows holders to enter the country freely as a British Citizen.
