In the case of Medical Professionals planning to go to USA in order to pursue medical career, numbers of American visas are available to fulfill their dreams. If a person is planning to visit the United States for short term, he can apply for J-1 visa. Brief overview about J-1 visas
The J-1 visa is meant for medical professionals and known as non-immigrant visa. Through this visa, one can gain entry in the US; he does not become eligible to apply for American Green Card. By obtaining J-1 visa, applicants can undertake training or consultation, teaching or conducting research program. In order to obtain this type of visa, the applicants will be required to fulfill the necessary conditions.
 
An overview about H-1B visas
The H-1B visa is like a UK work permit and allows skilled migrants to migrate to the US for performing specific per-arranged roles. Though, H-1 B visa is classified as a non-immigrant visa, if anybody is interested in staying in the country on permanent basis, he should start making proceedings for obtaining Green Card timely.  Once a person gets the permanent residency, he will be authorized for hosts of benefits like, right to vote, freedom to take any work and many more.
 
Eligibility Criteria
In order to qualify for J-1 visa, medical applicants have to prove that they have cleared the eligibility criteria regarding Foreign Medical Graduate Examination in medical Sciences. Along with this, they must show that they have to prove their competence in English language also. Additionally, they have to ensure that while submitting an application for the J1 visa, they have received positive response and support of J-1 visa sponsoring organization.
 
A number of conditions will be required to fulfill in order to qualify for H-1 B immigration visa. An applicant has to show that he has valid job offer letter from US employer. Moreover, he needs to prove that he has undertaken a medical education and on the basis of that he is allowed to do license practice in his own home country.
 
Dependents
In both the types of visas, spouse as well as any other dependent immigration is allowed, though the time duration varies. US J-2 visa is granted to dependents of J1 visa holders. Time duration for both the types of visas remain the same. USA J-2 holders are allowed to undertake employment and study in the USA. But, dependents have to follow same rules and regulations as the principal holder.
 
H-4 visa is issued to dependents of H1 visa holders. They are allowed to study in the country, but not allowed to work. Both the dependents and principal holders are given equal rights and privileges to exercise and enjoy.
