Benefits
The Intern and Work Travel Program enables the applicant to remain in the United States for a duration of 12 months. Applicants are not required to return home before the school year begins and post secondary students may enter at any point in the year. Once 50 per cent of placements have been fulfilled a sponsoring organisation is not required to pre arrange employment for applicants.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible to apply under this visa it is necessary to meet one of the following requirements;
• Be a citizen of Ireland,
• Completed your first year at college/ university or,
• Graduated from college/ university within the previous 12 months,
• Provide proof of sufficient funds before coming to the US to support yourself while you are looking for employment or in between breaks in employment,
• Not be accompanied by dependents.
